Guess Where it is?

We haven’t had any winners for last weeks photo & honestly I don’t even know where it’s located.  Shari is still on vacation in Napa so I haven’t been able to get the scoop from her.  I’ll let you know as soon as I do.  Now onto this weeks photo:

Travel Photo Trivia

Well our loyal trivia fan, Matt, guessed it correct last week.  It was Aran Islands off the coast of Ireland.  Good job Matt!

Here is this week’s picture.  Good luck!  The clues are below:

  1. This building was originally erected in the 5th century
  2. It experienced a fire in the 15th century
  3. The bells rang during the middle ages to signal a fire and tell the laborers to stop work

Gorgeous Greek Honeymoon

Imagine two weeks of relaxing with gentle breezes & fantastic sunsets.  Picture the houses, the Mediterrean, the fabulous food.  Well one of my past couples, Jin & Matt, chose a two week honeymoon in Greece & I knew I had to share it with everyone.

Here are some gorgeous shots of their two week trip, that included Athens, Santorini and Naxos.  First up was Athens with the Acropolis and the Parthenon.

They stayed the night near the Temple and then took a 4 hr. ferry ride to Santornini.  They views they had from their hotel patio were spectacular!

Jin & Matt enjoyed the strolls around the island, the volcanos and mingling with the locals.

From there it was a 2 hour ferry ride to Naxos where they enjoyed more great food, beautiful sunsets and a guided horseback riding trip.

Exotic Mexican Wedding

As Shari & I were brainstorming about feature photographers, one of the first to come to my mind was Sergio.  He is an amazing photographer who somehow draws you into every images.  You experience the beauty, the laughter and the passion.  I love how he captures the emotion in someone’s eyes; so piercing.

As you can see I’m a huge fan of his work, so when he said he’d love to be featured on our destination wedding blog AND offered for us to feature Sol & Matt’s wedding, I was elated.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Sol & Matt, they’re VERY talented photographers as well, shooting gorgeous destination weddings frequently.  And when they chose their wedding location, the perfect choice was Playa Del Carmen and a traditional Mayan ceremony on the beach.

A Golfers Dream Honeymoon - St. Andrews

So you’re trying to decide on a location that makes both of you happy.  You want unique, he wants activities.  If he’s like a lot of men, he loves golf and looks for every opportunity to play.  So why not plan something most men dream of….St. Andrews Scotland.  That’s right, the home of golf; the birthplace.  Men love it and so will you.  You can book your tee time online at St. Andrews Links which has a wealth of information about the courses, how to even play ‘The Old Course’ and fees.

And if you don’t play golf yourself, why not take some lessons and surprise your groom with your natural ability ?!?   But your trip would only begin there, Scotland is beautiful and romantic.  I’m sure you could have a unique, once in a lifetime adventure for you two by combining golf, history and relaxation.  For more ideas check out Virtual Tourist .

Galapagos Honeymoon

I was super excited when I found out that Christina and Steve, my May 18th wedding couple, were going to the Galapagos on their honeymoon because that’s one of the top places in the world I want to go visit.

Here’s what Christina had to say about her amazing honeymoon, “We chose Galapagos because I always wanted to go there to see the animals. We also wanted to go somewhere exotic and different. So many parts of the trip was amazing. We swan with sea lions, penguins, sharks, and sea turtles. We hiked up a dormant volcano and saw the most magnificent views of Galapagos. My favorite part was sitting right next to a 500 pound tortoise and he tried to eat my bag!

We stayed at Finch Bay Resort which was excellent. They set up an itinerary for the whole trip and had very knowledgeable tour guides with us. The food was great and beds were comfy. The town of Puerto Arroyo had many great restaurants, bars, and shops. We spent most of our evenings in town. It was definitely the best choice of honeymoons for us and can’t wait to go back.”

All photos by Christina and Steve. Thanks so much guys. I’m so jealous :)

Until we get a better photo…

Florida wedding photographers Shari Bare and Shannon Steeves and Videographer CVP Experience

Photographers are notoriously bad about getting their own photo taken. But until we do, here’s a photos of us having dinner with Ed and Myron from The CVP Experience. I’m in back on the right, with Ed and then Myron in front to me. That’s Shannon and Ford on the left.

We’ll be featuring CVP in the next few weeks, as they do some of the best videography work you’ve ever seen.
